About Us

The Stengel family

We, the Stengel sparkling wine and wine manufacturer,
Located in the picturesque wine town of Weinsberg-Gellmersbach,
are a family business with a long-standing tradition.
Our vineyards are located in the heart of the Weinsberger Valley.

The history of the Stengel sparkling wine and wine factory goes back to 1846. Even then, the name Stengel stood for quality and top products in wooden barrel construction, as a wine bar, distillery and cooperage. Wooden barrels were still made according to old traditions until the 1940s.

The demand for the highest quality is our top priority.
Today, the experienced cellar master Horst Stengel, together with his daughter Carolin Stengel and son-in-law Wassili Stengel, produces all wines and sparkling wines in their own winery using the latest technology.

A special feature of our house are the red wines produced using mash fermentation, where the grape juice remains in contact with the natural components of the grape for a long time. Even today, the world's great red wines are still made using this process.
